CARLOS HERNÁNDEZ CARBONELL
4X Latin Grammy winner and 5X nominated Carlos Hernández Carbonell, is a sound engineer based in Madrid, with more than 15 years of experience in music recordings. He started as recording/mixing engineer at prestigious PKO studios in Madrid (Spain), where he had the privilege of working with some of the best producers, artists, and engineers of the country for more than 5 years.
On 2012 Carlos starts getting interested in mastering, and on 2014 he decided to learn from some of the best and assist to an intensive mastering seminar at Arf! Mastering, Alan Silverman studio´s in NYC. There, Friedemann Tischmeyer ( founder of Mastering Academy USA), Drew Cappoto and Alan, changed Carlos´s concept of mastering forever, and encourage him to continue studying till he reaches his actual sound.
Throughout his career Carlos has recorded artists like Shakira, Maluma, Miguel Bosé, Malú, Melendi, Antonio Vega etc.. Mixed for Malú or Melendi, and mastered songs for: Joaquín Sabina, Ismael Serrano,Rozalen, Arnau Griso,Isma Romero & Bely Basarte, El Chojin, Canteca de Macao, Estopa, Ana Mena, Xuxo Jones, Clara Montes, Xriz, Andrés García, Sofía Ellar, Martín Zarzar, Los limones, Eva Ruiz , Nacho Campillo, etc..
Today Carlos is a mastering engineer certificated by prestigious Mastering Academy USA and chief engineer at CHCMASTERING.
